Braids consists of a series of 5 large scale graphite drawings, which were exhibited as part of the group show no ideas but in things at Toi Pōneke Gallery, Wellington in 2013.

The title of the exhibition originates from a line in the poem Paterson by William Carlos Williams.  There is much debate about what exactly Williams was referring to with this line, however it came to be an expression of the idea that abstract content can be discussed through the use of concrete imagery.
